Start of Summer- Fun at Simonton's Cabin
Ok- so I finally figured out how to do a collage of pictures and it has motivated to me try and catch up on my blogging. I just had so many pictures I wanted to include that this is the best way. We spent the first part of June up at the Simonton's cabin in Forest Lakes. The weather was so nice and cool, we were able to do a fire in their outside fireplace everynight and so smores, Yum! It was us, Simonton's and Hilderbrands. Between all of us we have 11 boys and 3 girls. The kids were in heaven getting dirty and being able to be together 24 hours a day. They all go along great which made it nice for us adults to be able to chat, play games and eat. Aren't vacations all about eating? The kids went fishing a couple of days and everyone caught a lot. Cooper & Brooklyn were the big winners. They each caught a large trout, and before that we thought the pong only had blue gills. We went on Ranger rides, picnics, hikes (ok walks), played lots of basketball and pounce (card game Simonton's taught us). It was a perfect start to the summer. Thanks Simonton's - we are so lucky to have such great neighbors we call our great friends!!

Colter - 7 months
Since I was leaving Colter for a week, I decided I needed a few pictures of him to look at while I was gone. His dad was getting him to laugh. He is such a cute, good kid. I just can't get enough of him.

Happy 4th of July
The Scout Bear (aka Dallas Thompson) with Colter
The Float Drivers
What would you think about a parade in 112 degree weather? I know it sounds crazy, but it actually is tons of fun. My neighbor told me about this after we moved in last year, that we had to be in town for the 4th of July. Our neighborhood Seville does a parade and that it is so fun. I can tell you that after doing it last year and again this year, it is a blast. Of course we do a water float with a few neighbors, so we stay cool and we are kind enought to cool off all the spectators and other floats too. We all love it. We decorate the float the night before and then the kids get painted up in the morning. After getting soaked at the parade, we swim and eat at the Simontons for more fun. This is proof that 4th of July in Gilbert, Arizona is great. Look at these cute kids!!!

Dane's Kindersteps Graduation
May 28, 2008 - Dane had a great first year of REAL school. He did kindersteps at Riggs Elementary for 1/2 day, 5 days a week. He loved going to schools with his older brothers and riding the big yellow bus home. He has a great teacher, Ms. Settle. She had a lot of boys in her class, but handled them great. Dane is lucky to have such good friends that he gets to go to school with. He had Braden Simonton, Mason Stadler, Tyson Coleman, Trent and Reese just to name a few. He learned alot and has started to read alittle. We can't wait to see what he learns in Kindergarten.
